X-Men vs. X-Force! X-Men vs. Horsemen! Sinister vs. Everybody!

When we last left off, the X-Men Blue Team and X-Factor had cornered X-Force in West Texas. Let's check in on how that's going:
As commanded by the Gods of Crossovers, the X-Men-Factor have a thorough dustup with the renegade X-Forces, which gives us lots of quick action between members of the two teams.
Of course it becomes clear that the fight is pretty unwinnable for the X-Forcers, so they bug out, leaving the "good guys" to give chase.
The other X-Men team -- X-Men Gold -- arrive at a warehouse in the Chesapeake Bay region in their pursuit of Apocalypse. They banter some about how it's weird that an ancient villain like Apocalypse is apparently renting warehouse space, but hey, you've gotta keep your instruments of death somewhere when not in use.
They go in and are attacked by two of the three Four Horsemen, Famine and Death (War is nowhere to be found and the role of Pestilence is currently unassigned.)
They beat the baddies right quick, then activate a hologram of... Sinister! He explains that he was, in fact, the one who abducted Scott and Jean, but don't worry, he doesn't have them anymore and Apocalypse is still totally the bad guy here, don't worry about me, Sinister -- I'll just be over here doing Sinister things not harming anyone. Okay?
Not confusing at all, thanks! |
Meanwhile back at the Mansion, Sinister -- that is, the corporeal Sinister -- is still involved in the game, holding Val Cooper and Stevie Hunter captive. He taunts Bishop, who is a rules-following good guy, like "What are you gonna do, shoot me?"
Well I guess Sinister doesn't know who Bishop is because those are the words he's been waiting to hear.
Anyway, we all know the only thing that can kill Sinister is Cyclops' optic blasts, so he no-sells the gun so he can drop a little more exposition. He explains that the real real bad guy is...
Back up in space, Cable loads up for a friendly chat with his arch-enemy...
Men, what's stopping you from looking like this? |
Who may or may not be the person who has kidnapped Scott and Jean (and put them into uniform??!)
Back with all the X's in Texas, the Factor-Men corner the Force and make pretty short work of their quarries.
They are pretty outnumbered after all, and that's just from Madrox.
With the "outlaws" in fancy sci-fi comic book handcuffs, there's just one question... what now?
